The bas-relief depicts the Baptism of Jesus by the hand of John the Baptist. From the sky descends the dove, which is not white but the color of the sky. From the right corner emerges the blessing hand of the Father. The work is inspired by an Armenian medieval miniature from the Vaspurakan region in present-day Turkey, the original work is painted by the monk-painter Tzerun. The bas-relief is entirely handmade in clay, and after the first firing it is painted with acrylic colors and covered with a protective varnish.
