This nativity scene depicts the infant Jesus in the manger, which here resembles an altar. The ox and the donkey — symbolizing the pagan peoples and the Jewish people — watch over him. The terracotta bas-relief, after the first firing, is treated with acrylic paints. The piece features two holes that can be used to hang it on the wall. The image is freely inspired by a medieval fresco in the San Martins church in Zillis (Switzerland)
