This terracotta bas-relief is inspired by the tradition of medieval Armenian miniatures and is carefully handcrafted. I personally create the molds and reproduce each piece by hand in limited editions, finishing every work with hand-applied acrylic paints. This artisanal process ensures that each bas-relief is unique. The bas-relief depicts the Nativity of Jesus, laid in the manger beside Mary and Joseph. Accompanied by the ox and the donkey, Jesus gazes toward the star. Angels and shepherds are also present: after receiving the announcement of the child’s birth, they came to the cave where the Holy Family stayed. The three Magi, arriving from the East and following the comet, bring precious gifts worthy of a king.
