The bas-relief depicts the moment of the Annunciation to Mary. The Archangel Gabriel leans slightly toward Mary with his blessing hand, announcing the good news.
The work is inspired by an 11th–12th century miniature. The background is divided into two colors: a deep, almost nocturnal blue and a deep green, which is the color of the earth. The bas-relief is entirely handmade in clay and, after the first firing, painted with acrylic colors.
